🕯️ Candle Safety & Care Instructions

For the safest and most enjoyable experience with your candle, please follow these important safety instructions.

Before lighting

• Always remove all packaging, decorative materials and loose debris before lighting.

• Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use.

• Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant, level surface.

• Keep away from draughts, curtains, fabrics and anything flammable.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  

While burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.

• Never leave a burning candle in a room when you leave it.

• Keep away from open windows, fans and draughts.

• Never move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is hot.

• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

• Keep candles at least 10cm apart when burning multiple candles.

• Never allow matches, wick trimmings or other debris to collect in the melted wax.

• Avoid touching the container or melted wax while hot.
  

When extinguishing

• Extinguish your candle carefully. Do not use water to put out a candle.

• Allow the wax and container to cool completely before handling.

• Discontinue use when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom, or sooner if the container becomes excessively hot.

• Never use a candle with a cracked or damaged container.

Getting the Best From Your Candle

Our handmade soy wax candles are created to bring fragrance, warmth and atmosphere into your home. A little candle care goes a long way in helping you enjoy your candle safely and get the best experience from every burn.

Before lighting

• Always trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each use.

• Remove any wick trimmings, dust or debris from the wax.

• Check the candle container for cracks or damage before lighting.

• Place your candle upright on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.
  

Your first burn

• Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface, reaching the edges of the container where possible. This helps minimise tunnelling.

• Never exceed the maximum recommended burning time for your candle.

• Avoid placing your candle near open windows, fans or draughts.
  

While burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.

• Keep away from children, pets and anything that could catch fire.

• Keep candles at least 10cm apart.

• Never move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still liquid.

• Keep the wax pool clear of matches, wick trimmings and foreign objects.

• Do not burn for longer than the recommended maximum burn time.

• Never allow the flame to touch the sides of the container.

Extinguishing your candle

• Use a suitable candle snuffer to extinguish the flame.

• Never use water to extinguish a candle.

• Allow the candle and container to cool completely before handling or moving.

• Keep the candle away from draughts and heat sources when not in use.

When to stop burning

Discontinue use when approximately 1cm of wax remains at the bottom of the container, or sooner if specified on your individual candle.

Never burn a candle all the way to the bottom.
